What Does Employment History Say?

  • Americans average 10 jobs between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • The average high-school graduate who does not enroll in postsecondary education holds nearly 6 different jobs and experiences 5 to 6 spells of unemployment by age 27.
  • Roughly half of all high school graduates fail to find stable employment by the time they are thirty.
