Four-Run Third Inning leads to Chipola win over Darton, 6-2

Chipola used a 4-run third inning to open the game up versus Darton, Wednesday afternoon, to win 6-2. Chris Berroa and Marc Bourgeois led off the third inning with walks to set up the inning. Einar Atencio singled to set up bases loaded. Jordan Lucas singled, driving in Berroa for the first score of the game. Ryan Chaffee followed with a double which plated Bourgeois and Atencio. Carlos Moncrief added a sacrifice fly to plate Lucas for the final run of the inning. Chipola added two more runs in the fourth inning to concluded the Indians' scoring. The Indians were led at the plate by Berroa (2-3, 2 runs scored), Atencio (2-3, 2 runs scored), Lucas (2-4, 2 RBI's)
Starting pitcher Jason Townsend threw four innings, giving up one hit, one run, and striking out six batters to earn his third victory of the season. Chipola's next home game will be Wednesday, Feb. 27th versus Lake City at 2:00 CST.
