Chipola squeaks past Darton, 9-8 in 10 Innings

Chipola scored two runs in the top of the tenth inning to squeak past Darton, 9-8 in ten innings.  The Indians scored on a Ryan Chaffee sacrifice fly which plated Marc Bourgeois and also scored on a bases loaded walk to Moises Montero forcing in Jordan Lucas.  The Cavaliers added a single run in the bottom half of the inning and also had the winning run on second with two outs but failed to drove the runs home.  David Buchanan got the win in relief for the Indians, giving up one run in one inning of work.  Chipola starter Chaffee exited the game with a 7-1 lead in the sixth inning, surrendering only two hits, one run, and striking out eight. 

Offensively, the Indians were led by Lucas (3-6, 1 RBI), Bourgeois (2-5, 2 RBI's), Einar Atencio (2-5, 1 RBI), and Tyler Bumgarner (2-5, 2 RBI's).  The Indians next game will be Wednesday versus Lake City at 3:00 CST in Marianna.
