Chipola wins over Tallahassee, 6-4

Matt Jackson pitched 1.1 innings of shutout baseball to propelled the Indians over Tallahassee, 6-4. Jackson earned his first save of the season giving the Indians a 1-0 start to the conference season. The Indians jumped out to a quick start scoring 5 runs in the second inning, highlighted by Moises Montero and Ryan Chaffee back-to-back homeruns. Chipola were led offensively by Chaffee (3-4, HR, 1 RBI), Edmond Sparks (2-4), Montero (2-4), and Marc Bourgeois (2-5, 1 RBI).
Indians' starting pitcher Drew Parker earned his third win of the season. Parker threw five innings, giving up six hits, four earned runs, and striking out two.
