Stefhon Hannah Nominated For Top College Point Guard Award

Former Illinois high school basketball stars Stefhon Hannah
(Missouri), Derrick Rose (Memphis), Justin Dentmon (Washington),
Daniel Ruffin (Bradley), Jason Richards (Davidson) and Jonny
Reibel (Rollins) have all been nominated for the 2008 Bob Cousy
Award. The Bob Cousy Award annually recognizes the top point
guard in college basketball.
Hannah, a senior, starred at Chicago Hyde Park
in high school, while Rose, a freshman, is fresh off of leading
Chicago Simeon to back-to-back IHSA Class AA state titles.
Ruffin, a senior, won a Class AA state title in high school at
Peoria Central. Richards, a senior, played his high school
basketball at Davidson, while Reibel, a senior, played his high
school basketball at Hoffman Estates.
Rose, and O.J. Mayo (USC), were the only two freshman on the
list, while Reibel, who averaged nearly 8 assists per contest
last year, is one of just two Division II players to make the
