talent
to
work

The
Indians
are
currently
(22-0)
and
number
one
in
the
country
in
the
most
recent
NJCAA
poll.
The
Indians
had
six
players
sign
early
in
the
fall
semester
and
still
have
some
more
looking
for
places
this
semester.
Gary
Flowers:

6-foot-8

from
Dallas,
TX.
Flowers
will
be
able
to
get
out
of
Chipola
College
with
some
summer
school
and
have
three
years
left
to
play
at
the
Division
One
level.
Flowers
signed
with
Oklahoma
State
coming
out
of
prep
school
at
Genesis
One
Christian
in
Mendenhall,
MS.
Gary
is
receiving
interest
from
Seton
Hall,
South
Florida,
Cincinnati,
Indiana,
West
Virginia
and
Wichita
State
according
to
Heiar.
Gary
is
currently
averaging
13.5
ppg
and
7.1
rebounds
while
shooting
52.9%
(135-255)
from
the
floor
this
season.
Vernon
Teel:
(FR)
6-foot-4
(189)
from
Jamaica,
NY.
Teel
attended
Long
Island
University
back
in
2006-2007
but
didn't
play.
Vernon
attended
Laurinburg
Institute
prior
to
Long
Island.
The
combo
guard
will
leave
Chipola
College
this
summer
needing
just
one
summer
school
class
to
graduate.
"Vernon
can
guard
all
three
positions
on
the
floor
and
he
really
competes
on
every
possession,"
said
Heiar.
Old
Dominion,
Louisiana
Tech,
New
Orleans,
Oklahoma,
Murray
State,
Colorado
State
and
St.
Louis
are
showing
interest
in
the
New
York
City
guard.
Teel
is
currently
averaging
8.6
ppg,
3.2
rebounds
and
3
assists
on
the
season
while
shooting
48.5%
(68-134)
from
the
floor.
Decoya
White:
(SO)
5-foot-11
(191)
from
Chipley,
FL.
White,
a
combo
guard,
plays
behind
a
log
jam
of
talent.
Decoya
is
currently
averaging
4.2
ppg
this
season
for
the
Indians.
"Decoya
has
great
range
on
his
shot
out
to
23
feet
and
has
a
great
feel
for
the
game.
He
is a
top
notch
defender,"
said
Heiar.
Eddie
King:
(SO)
6-foot-3

from
Malone,
FL.
King
played
at
Bevill
State
Community
College
(AL)
a
few
seasons
back.
"Eddie
is a
combo
wing
player
that
makes
plays
with
the
ball.
Eddie
can
finish
with
both
hands
out
to
10
feet,"
said
Heiar.
Antwon
Hall:
(SO)
6-foot-4

from
Cottondale,
FL.
Hall
attended
Alabama
Community
College
a
few
seasons
ago.
Hall
must
go
the
D2/NAIA
route.
Antwon
can
play
three
positions
on
the
floor
(2-4).
The
wing
player
can
defend
all
four
positions
on
the
floor
according
to
Heiar.
