CHIPOLA COMES UP SHORT IN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

HUTCHINSON, KS—The Chipola College Indians fell to Midland, 94-75, in the championship game at the National Junior College Athletics Association Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 24, in the Hutchinson Sports Arena. The Indians finish 2^nd in the nation after a remarkable 33-3 season which included a record of 14-3 against ranked opponents and being ranked #1 in the NJCAA Polls for 10 consecutive weeks.

            In the championship game, Jamarcus Ellis led the Indians with 27 points while DeAndre Thomas scored 22. Victor Dubovitsky chipped in 11 and Ed Berrios added 10.
