Charles Sirmon is Director of Theatre for the Fine and Performing Arts Department at Chipola College. Sirmon has a wealthy background in the arts. He has studied intensively in New York City and Chicago where he received his master’s degree in directing from Roosevelt University and undergraduate from Auburn University. Sirmon serves as FCSAA adjudication and has represented Chipola as respondent and participant with the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Sirmon has worked as an actor and director all over the southeast. He began his professional career in the off Broadway production of Fallen Peach. Sirmon has spent many summers studying with NYC’s H.B. Studio’s, Chicago’s Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare and most recently was a participant with New York City’s Second City Improv.
