A 30-member Board of Directors, made up of
representatives from the five counties in Chipola’s district, manages
the business affairs of the Foundation.
Through the stewardship of the Board of Directors, Foundation
funds are invested to insure that the college, its students and its
programs receive the maximum benefit from the gifts entrusted to the
Foundation.
Contributing to the Chipola Foundation may mean a
tax-deductible gift now, or it may mean a deferred gift through a
bequest or an insurance policy. There
are numerous ways in which various types of gifts may benefit the giver
as well as the college. Bequests
of securities, real or personal property, or cash may be designated for
endowment of student scholarships, to fund annual events, or other
specified purposes. You can
be assured that your gift will be used wisely to enhance the educational
experience of present and future Chipola College students.
Through the generosity of many individuals, civic,
religious and business organizations, during the 2000-2001 fiscal year
the Chipola Foundation provided over $663,000 in scholarship funds to
more than 850 students. Without
the generosity of so many people, a college education would not be a
reality for many students. Only
through the continued support of our alumni and friends will the
Foundation be able to assist with the economic challenges and
opportunities presented to Chipola College as well as continue to
meet the scholarship needs of our students.
