Group work:

    In 15 minute intervals:

        A:  Meet and discuss grading procedures

        B:  Meet and discuss procedures for entering the classroom*

        C:  Meet and discuss procedures for leaving the classroom - both during and at the end of the class*

        D: Meet and discuss procedures  for handling papers - turning in work, colleting, distributing, etc.

        E:  Meet and discuss procedures for behavior (actually part II of the classroom management plan)*

Homework

    Field Trip Request - a letter written to the administration requesting permission and support for a field trip you have planned.  Make sure to include such things as who, what, where, when, why and how.  Include the academic purpose, the funding source, what you might be asking from the administration, and any other special considerations.

    Invitation to a guest speaker - Write to someone in the community and invite them to come and speak to your class.  Be sure to include what you want them to speak about, why you want them to speak about it (how it relates to what you are doing in class), when and where you want them to come, what you want them to bring, how many they should prepare for, etc.  Make sure to indicate that you have received administration permission to invite them, and let them know of any procedures they should follow when they get there (check in with the office, etc.)

    Read chapter 8 from the text and the parent communication handouts

    Work on your group presentations

    WORK TOWARD COMPLETING TASK 2.1.2  (Due October 11th)
