The General Physics course (PHY 1053-1054)is a two semester sequence intended primarily for students majoring in biology, pre-med, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, pre-optometry, pre-agriculture, pre-forestry, or medical technology (check the curriculum guide for the school you are planning on attending to see if it is required for your major). The first semester course is only taught in the Fall semester and includes topics such as kinematics, Newton's Laws, Work, Conservation of Energy, Momentum, and Gravitation. The second semester is only offered during the Spring semester and continues with Electrostatics, DC Circuits, Magnetism, Induced EMFs, and AC circuits.
