Florida’s Ready to Work Credential Program

Florida employers need and seek dependable, skilled workers. The State of Florida has adopted the Ready to Work Credential Program to help prepare prospective and current employees to fill that need. As you plan to enter the workforce or consider changing jobs, it is very important that you have the skills and credentials that employers need. A student who has earned a Ready to Work Credential will be considered equipped with the skills needed to enter the workforce.

Chipola College is a Ready to Work Credential Assessment Center. The information below will give you information on where and how to take the Ready to Work Credential Assessments:

Taking the Ready to Work Assessment at Chipola:

  • A photo ID is required to take the exam.

  • Students will be given a score report upon completion of the exam.

  • Credential Certificates will be mailed to students that pass the exam with a minimum of the Bronze Level 3.

  • Call the Chipola College Testing Center at (850)-718-2284 for more information.

Additional Information:

  • There is no charge for the assessment.

  • The assessment will be taken on the computer.

  • Test sections:

    • Applied Math – 55 minutes

    • Locating Information – 55 minutes

    • Reading for Information – 55 minutes

  • Students must complete free online software to remediate before testing.
