TABE Test
of Adult Basic Education TABE Study Guide / TABE Study Guide Answer Key Workforce Development TABE Score Requirements TABE is a test of basic skills in reading, mathematics, and language at all levels. The test is designed to assess skills in the contexts that are most important to adults: life skills, work, and education. TABE’s objectives are fully integrated, providing a complete picture of adult performance. TABE provides both norm-referenced and competency-based information to help you plan for individual, educational, and training needs. TABE meets the Florida State requirements for an entry-level examination within the first six weeks of admission to a Workforce Development Program. TABE also gives needed information to help students prepare for the GED. The TABE has three sections: reading, math and language. Comprehension Vocabulary Fractions Decimals Percent Pre-Algebra Word Problems Usage Sentence Formation Paragraph Development Capitalization Punctuation Conventional Writing Spelling There is a fee of $10.00 to take the TABE. Payment may be made by check or cash at the time of testing. This fee does NOT apply to students who are seeking enrollment at Chipola College or students pursuing a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). A student must wait 90 days before retaking the TABE unless he/she registers for and completes a prescription. Once the assignments on the prescription are complete, a student may retest. Scores are good for two years.
Test Schedule: *8:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday *5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday *No appointment necessary. Allow 2-4 hours for testing. Location: Testing Center, Building A Workforce
