The State of Florida requires a placement exam from ACT, SAT-I, or PERT for all students who intend to earn a degree. Test scores must be on file before you register for classes, and the scores used for initial enrollment cannot be more than two years old. Test scores will not be required for non-degree seeking, transient, and transfer students who have completed appropriate English and math courses.
Online Registration Brochures for ACT are available in the Testing Center (Building A, 149). Students should register at www.actstudent.org. Students applying for extended time for the first time or requesting standby testing also have online options. The test center and college code lists are available only on the Web.
The only students required to register by mail are those who are younger than 13 or those who cannot pay by credit card. Register by Mail Packets are also available in the Testing Center.
Registration deadlines and test dates for ACT are listed on the Chipola College test schedule which can be accessed by clicking the link provided above.
