Specific Requirements

  1. Application for Admission:  Fee - $20.00
     
  2. Immunization – Each student must provide documented proof of immunity to measles and rubella, effective Fall Term 1986. Proof is required before you can register at a university.
     
  3. AA Except for CLAST – Students are admitted to the university with at least three parts of CLAST passed and they must register for and take the remaining CLAST during the first semester of enrollment. Students will be permitted to only lower division courses until at least three parts of the CLAST are passed. They must pass all parts of the CLAST by the time they complete 36 semester hours of upper division course work. Students entering the College of Education must pass all parts of CLAST for admission.
     
  4. Recalculating the GPA of Community College AA Degree Transfer Students –To calculate the GPA from the community college transcript, the university uses the last grade earned and honors all transcript information. Incompletes are viewed as withdrawals and are not used for calculations. The university will use the highest grade earned for a repeated course.
     
  5. Foreign Language Exit/Graduation Requirements – As a general policy, the State University System requires that a student complete two years of the same foreign language in high school, OR two semesters of the same foreign language at the community college. Following are some exceptions and/or additional requirements.

Foreign language is an exit requirement, but not an entrance requirement, for all students. Some majors may require additional semester hours beyond the standard requirement of eight hours.
