University of North Florida
Specific Requirements

  1. Application for Admission - UNF publishes deadlines for each term.  The application, $20 application fee, and all required documentation must be received in the Office of Admissions by the published deadline date in order to be reviewed for admission as a degree-seeking student.

  2. Immunization – Each student must provide documented proof of immunity to measles and rubella, effective Fall Term 1986. Proof is required before you can register at a university.

  3. AA Except for CLAST – Students are given the benefit of the A.A. degree. Students who have not passed all subsections of CLAST must register and take the CLAST their first term. Transfer students are encouraged to take the CLAST during their first term of enrollment. Students must take and pass all four subsets of the CLAST prior to earning 36 upper-level credit hours. Students who have not taken and passed the CLAST will not be eligible to graduate.

  4. Recalculating the GPA of Community College AA Degree Transfer Students – Only the last grade earned is used to calculate the GPA. Withdrawals-passing and incompletes are viewed the same and are not used in GPA calculations.

  5.
  6. Foreign Language Exit/Graduation Requirements – As a general policy, the State University System requires that a student complete two years of the same foreign language in high school, OR two semesters of the same foreign language at the community college. Following are some exceptions and/or additional requirements.

AA degree students can be admitted without fulfilling the foreign language requirement. In this case, the eight-semester-hour state foreign language requirement becomes an exit requirement, and must be completed before graduation from UNF. The College of Arts and Sciences requires additional foreign culture hours as an exit requirement for Bachelor of Arts students.
