Getting Started in a University Center Program Application & Registration Information

BA Degree Program in Special/Elementary Education The University of West Florida, in collaboration with the University Center at Chipola College, offers full-time day and evening schedules for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Special/Elementary Education. Individual students working toward recertification may enroll in classes as special students. The Special/Elementary Education program at Chipola comprehensively trains pre-service teachers to serve in both the elementary and special education settings. The program develops skills in academic instruction, collaboration, ESOL, classroom management, and assessment. Experience in elementary classrooms is an integral component of the curriculum. Yvonne Melzer, Director Admissions and Financial Aid It is possible to apply for admission and financial aid on-line at http://www.uwf.edu or you may contact the Admissions Office at (850) 474-2230 and the Financial Aid office at (850) 474-2400. It is important for students to meet with lower division advisors to be certain all pre-requisite courses have been completed. Registration UWF personnel are on campus and available to register students for classes prior to each semester.
