BA, Special Elementary Education
The University of West Florida, in collaboration with the University Center at Chipola College, offers full-time day and evening schedules for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Special/Elementary Education. Individual students working toward recertification may enroll in classes as special students.
The Special/Elementary Education program at Chipola comprehensively trains pre-service teachers to serve in both the elementary and special education settings. The program develops skills in academic instruction, collaboration, ESOL, classroom management, and assessment. Experience in elementary classrooms is an integral component of the curriculum. This program is NCATE/DOE approved.
