Course Description:
This lab provides the student with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills needed to care for patients with maladaptive coping disorders. Therapeutic nurse/patient interaction skills are stressed. Clinical experiences are selected to help students increase their understanding of the interdisciplinary health team and the nurse’s role as a member of the team. Clinical practice is provided in a psychiatric setting.
