Chipola students enrolled in DEP 2102 001 Child Psychology during Spring 2026 collaborated to produce "One Step at a Time," a children's book exploring psychological disorders in childhood. Their contributions feature vibrant, engaging games and narratives designed to educate and inspire young readers.

"As their instructor, I am immensely proud of their dedication and creativity. They thoughtfully crafted stories incorporating healthy coping strategies, while their games offer interactive elements that help redirect children's attention away from distressing symptoms associated with various disorders," says Ms. Linda Morales. "This marks the third publication from one of my classes, and I eagerly anticipate guiding the fall semester's students in creating a fourth book.."

The students nor instructor receive any financial compensation from this project. The book exists solely as a meaningful keepsake for students and their families to cherish.
