Submit all required documents to the Financial Aid Office by this date.
Please note: Direct deposit is not available for financial aid refunds. An identity verification process may be required before funds are awarded.

State Grant and Scholarship Programs
Chipola College participates in the following state-funded programs for students in eligible career and workforce training programs. A FAFSA is not required to apply. Awards are made while state funds remain available. Select a program below for eligibility requirements.
Open Door Grant
The Open Door Grant helps cover tuition and fees for students enrolled in eligible short-term, high-demand workforce programs. Depending on available funding, the grant may also help with exams, books, and uniforms.
To apply, students must meet all of the requirements below:
- Be a verified U.S. citizen and Florida resident with Chipola College (verified through residency with the Admissions Office)
- Be currently enrolled in one of the following workforce programs:
- Master Automotive Service Technology 1 (2206)
- Master Automotive Service Technology 2 (2207)
- Building Construction Technologies (2248)
- Electricity (2246)
- Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) (2249)
- Plumbing (2247)
- Advanced Manufacturing and Production Technologies (2259)
- Practical Nursing (2265)
- Welding Technology (2275)
- Welding Technology - Advanced (2276)
How to apply:
- Be cleared by the Admissions Office for residency verification.
- Log in to MyChipola.
- Go to the FIN AID tab.
- Under Financial Aid Grant Forms, select Open Door Grant Application.
Don't see the application? The application will not appear in MyChipola until the Admissions Office has cleared your residency verification. Contact Admissions to check your residency status.

Florida First Responder Grant
The Florida First Responder Grant (known at the state level as the Florida First Responder Scholarship Program) assists students training to become law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and firefighters. Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last.
To apply, students must meet all of the requirements below:
- Be a verified U.S. citizen and Florida resident with Chipola College (verified through residency with the Admissions Office)
- Be currently enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Emergency Medical Services (2190)
- Fire Fighter (2210)
- Florida Law Enforcement Academy (2213)
- Fire Fighter / Emergency Medical Technician - Combined (2216)
- Emergency Medical Technician (2219)
- Crossover from Correction Officer to Law Enforcement (2221)
- Paramedics (5280)
How to apply:
- Be cleared by the Admissions Office for residency verification.
- Log in to MyChipola.
- Go to the FIN AID tab.
- Under Financial Aid Grant Forms, select Florida First Responder Grant Application.

Chipola's Federal School Code (Title IV Code) is 001472. Use this code on your FAFSA to have your results sent to Chipola College.
