Chipola Artist Series Presents America’s Sweethearts

The Chipola College Artist Series season continues on Tuesday, March 8 with America’s Sweethearts.

America has always loved the swinging sounds of female, close-harmony groups. In 1937, the Andrews Sisters hit the airwaves with “Bei Mir Bist Du Schön.” These New York based ladies have been performing across the US at iconic spaces, large theatres and intimate cabaret venues. The group gets crowds tapping their feet to hits like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” as they celebrate history through their crystal-clear harmony and colorful costumes.

America’s Sweethearts offers selections from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, pop and jazz tunes from the 1950s. This group charms audiences of all ages while navigating their way through a variety of trios, duets and solo features all with a slice of old-fashioned fun.
