Chipola Baseball to Host Gulf Coast April 2

The Chipola Indians baseball team is 27-9-1 and 6-3 in league play as of March 31.

Chipola traveled to Gulf Coast on March 29 where they scored a 6-2 win.

On March 25, the Indians split a double header with Coastal Alabama-South, with Coastal Alabama winning the first game (11-6) and Chipola winning the second (6-5).  

After losing to Pensacola (9-2) on March 16, the Indians evened the game by scoring a 5-1 win over Pensacola on March 17.

The Indians won 3-2 and 9-1 in a double header over Tallahassee on March 13.

Chipola opened Panhandle Conference play on the road against the Tallahassee Eagles on Tuesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 10. The teams split the first two games with the Eagles winning on Tuesday, 8-3, and Chipola winning on Thursday, 7-4.

Chipola will travel to Gulf Coast again on Thursday, March 31 at 5 p.m. before heading home to host a double header against the Pirates on Saturday, April 2. The Indians will host Northwest Florida on Tuesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 7.

The Chipola Indians are ranked fifth in the NJCAA national tournament and No. 1 in the FCSAA state polls.
