Chipola Basketball Players Visit Jackson County Early Childhood Programs

Student-athletes from the Chipola College basketball program recently visited Jackson County Early Childhood Programs, spending time with some of the county’s youngest learners to promote the importance of reading and education.

During the visit, Chipola players read to students and interacted with the children, while also giving them a chance to see a few basketball skills up close. The players’ presence brought plenty of excitement and smiles throughout the classrooms. The event also featured fun appearances from Thing 1 and Thing 2, adding to the lively atmosphere.

“We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with the community and encourage young students to develop a love for reading,” said Chipola head coach Donnie Tyndall.
