Chipola Brain Bowl Teams Win Sectionals; Headed to Nationals

The Chipola College A and B Brain Bowl Teams finished first and second place at the Florida NAQT Sectional on Jan. 21-22. The Sectional is a qualifier for the Community College National Championship which will be held on February 25-26.

Chipola A finished 7-1, splitting two games with Valencia College and earning the #4 seed for the national tournament.

Chipola B finished 6-2, with both losses coming at the hands of Chipola A. Chipola B will also advance to nationals as the #6 seed.

Taylor Young was the top individual scorer with 56 tossups and a game average of 70.62. Jon Proctor placed third with 33 tossups and a game average of 40.62. Jack Connolly was 4th overall with 31 tossups and a 37.50 average. Not far behind was Colby Williams in sixth place and Taylor Munroe in tenth place.

Chipola A members are: Taylor Young, Jack Connolly, Kaleb Todd and Cheyenne Glass

Chipola B member are: Jon Proctor, Colby Williams, Taylor Munroe and Ksenia Riegle.
