Chipola College Brain Bowl Team Claims Victory at ACF Fall Tournament

Chipola College’s Brain Bowl team showed outstanding skill at the American Quiz Bowl Fall Tournament at Georgia Tech. The team took home the championship with a 370–230 win over Vanderbilt University.

Chipola defeated several top universities, including Georgia Tech, Alabama, South Carolina, Montevallo, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, and Auburn. Their only loss came in a close match against Clemson University.

The winning team includes Devin Tharp, Ian Hatcher, Jeremy Scurlock, and John Maupin, coached by Stan Young.

“We are very proud of our team,” said Coach Stan Young. “Their teamwork and hard work paid off, showing that small colleges can achieve big things.”

Chipola College continues to celebrate academic excellence and competitive success through its Brain Bowl program.
