Chipola College Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Week

Chipola College students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Week Sept. 28-Oct. 1 with a series of activities highlighting Hispanic and Latin American culture, history and traditions.

Activities were held throughout the week and included Lotería (Mexican Bingo), a social with refreshments, a craft and coloring contest, Latin American economics, Latin dance, and a discussion of Latin history and urban legends.

The week gave students an opportunity to learn more about Hispanic heritage while participating in educational, cultural and social activities on campus.

Hispanic Heritage Week was held in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, observed nationally from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.
