Chipola College Named to Aspen Institute’s Top 200 Community Colleges for 2027 — Ninth Consecutive Year

Chipola College is proud to announce that it has once again been named among the top 200 community colleges in the nation by the Aspen Institute for 2027. This marks the ninth consecutive year that Chipola College has earned this recognition, placing it among a select few institutions nationwide — and one of only four in the state of Florida — to make the list every single cycle.

The Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence is the nation’s premier measure of success for two‑year institutions. The top 200 list recognizes colleges based on strong student‑outcome data: first‑to‑second‑year retention, certificate and degree completion, transfer and bachelor’s attainment rates, and post‑graduation employment and wage outcomes.

For Chipola, this recognition underscores consistent excellence, institutional commitment, and a steadfast dedication to student success. In celebration of this achievement, Chipola launches a campaign titled “Nine out of 9”, highlighting the effort and dedication required to maintain this elite status consistently over the years.
