Chipola Fine Arts Students Named FSCAA

Ten Chipola College Fine and Performing Arts students were named to the 2022-2023 Florida State College Activities Association (FSCAA) All-Academic Teams. 

Three students were named to the FSCAA All-Academic Music Team: Alden Campbell (Chattahoochee), Jedidiah Hamilton (Marianna), and Clara Walters-Medina (Blountstown).

Seven students were named to the FSCAA All-Academic Theatre Team: Lauren Chesnut (Bonifay), Sarah Kanes (Graceville), Victoria Kanes (Graceville), Caden Kearns (Colquitt, GA), Chandler King (Graceville), Alison Tindall (Blountstown), and Angel Gabriel Tirado (Ariton, AL).

In order to qualify for the All-Academic Team a student must meet three criteria. The student must meet the requirements for participation and be an active participant in the music or theatre program.  The student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 or higher for the current academic year and must have taken a minimum of eighteen (18) semester hours during the current academic year.

“These students have shown that they can excel academically in addition to their rigorous performance schedule.  These students have performed in the Chipola Show Choir, College Chorus, President's Ensemble, Rock and Jazz Band, and Chipola Theatre productions. Congratulations to the talented and dedicated students”, stated Director of Fine and Performing Arts Evelyn Ward.
