Chipola Practical Nursing Students Participate In Disaster Drill

Chipola College Practical Nursing students took part in a Disaster Drill at Ascension-Pensacola, hosted by the Emerald Coast Healthcare Coalition. The event was part of their Community Health clinical rotation.

Students served as mock victims in a simulated Celebration Parade Mass Casualty Incident, where a vehicle crashed into a crowd. The activity helped students practice disaster preparation, response, recovery, and color-tagging procedures.

“This was a valuable experience for our students to apply what they’ve learned,” said Stefanie Barnes, Director of Health Sciences.
