The Chipola College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is holding a school supply drive for the many Louisiana schools impacted by Hurricane Ida.

Thibodaux Elementary has organized a supply drive, and Chipola’s Phi Theta Kappa is reaching out to fellow Chipola organizations, students, and many of the nearby schools to help gather supplies. Any amount donated will help aid in the restoration of these affected schools.

Many in the Chipola College community know the pain and loss following a major storm after Hurricane Michael in 2018.

Requested supplies include: colored construction paper, scissors, highlighters (any colors), pencils, 1, 3, or 5 subject notebooks, pens (any colors), index cards, folders, dividers, erasers, rulers, markers, pencil pouches, 1 inch binders, graphing paper, wide ruled paper, file folders, sheet protectors

Please bring donations to the ACE Lab, Building L Room 107 by 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6. For information, contact Jenna Gilmore at jennargilmore@gmail.com.

In support of Chipola College’s Phi Theta Kappa service project, TRIO Society members donated school supplies for schools located in Louisiana who were heavily impacted by Hurricane Ida.   TRiO Society members wanted to return the support that was granted to us during our time of need following Hurricane Michael in October 2018.
