Chipola Students Honored at Awards Ceremony

Chipola College recognized the outstanding achievements of its students at the recent annual Awards Ceremony. Awards were presented for academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.

The following students received academic awards: Sara Watson of Cottondale, Freshmen English; Benjamin Parish of Bonifay, Sophomore English; Haylee Reisen of Altha, Calculus I; Trace Weaver of Chipley, Calculus II; Jenna Gilmore of Cottondale, Calculus III; Carlee Branch of Bristol, Biology for Science Majors; Trace Weaver of Chipley, Freshman Chemistry; Taylor Young of Marianna, Sophomore Chemistry; Natasha Brock of Chipley, Health Sciences; Jada Brown of Vernon, Dr. Robert E. Ringer Science Scholarship; Josiah Neamtu of Marianna, Social & Behavioral Science; Cassie Pate of Bonifay, Accounting – AA/AS; Nathan Ebersole of Blountstown, Accounting – BSBA; Jibrail Rodriguez of Marianna, Computer Science – AA/AS; Mary Steverson of Bristol, General Management – BSBA; Jeremy Thomason of Bonifay, Information Systems – BSBA and Jeremy Porter of Quincy, Strategic Management – BSBA.

The following students received the Florida State University/Panama City Transfer Scholarship: Hannah Collins of Marianna, Jenna Gilmore of Cottondale, Asher Young of Marianna, De’Shaun Williams of Blountstown, Tristan Stewart of Marianna, John Cowart of Alford, Keegan Welch of Chipley, Dylan Bragg of Chipley and Emma Deason of Blountstown.

Students in Workforce Development programs received the following  awards: Gage Bachelier of Grand Ridge, Advanced Manufacturing Technology; Benjamin Roach of Grand Ridge, Automotive Service Technology; Austin Winget of Bascom, Building Construction Technology; Catherine Monteagudo of Grand Ridge, Civil Engineering Technology; Truett Corbin of Blountstown, Corrections; Alyson James of Marianna, Cosmetology; Diana Griffin of Blountstown, Engineering Technology; Brandon Moore of Chipley, Firefighting; Jacon Herrell of Bristol, Law Enforcement; Jeremy Whitworth of Blountstown, Welding and Cameron Bailey of Blountstown, Advanced Welding.

Two students received for awards for athletics: Cedric De Grandpre’ of Quebec, Canada, Charlton Keen Scholar-Athlete and Faizon Fields of Cordova, Tennessee, Neal Sportsmanship.
