Chipola Theatre Announces Cast of A Year with Frog and Toad

The Chipola College Theatre proudly announces the cast of its upcoming production of A Year with Frog and Toad. The Broadway hit, which received three Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, is based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved children’s books and follows the enduring friendship of Frog and Toad through four seasons of adventure. The production is scheduled for May 22, 2026, at the Center for the Arts Theatre.

The cast includes Owen Basford as Frog and Sam Keel as Toad. Man Birds will be portrayed by Johnathan Waldrop, Quinton Chavers, and Weston Basford. Lady Birds 1 include Randi Boyd, Jaden McGhee, and Maggie Attwood, and Lady Birds 2 include Trinity White, Charlize Reyes, and Johnyah Waldop. Additional roles feature Maggie Attwood as Mouse and Young Frog, Gavin Nehemiah Braddy as Snail, Charlize Reyes as Turtle, Trevor Shelton as Lizard, Sophie Basford and Everett Shelton as Squirrel 1, Alexis Skipper and Joseph Hamm as Squirrel 2, Weston Basford as Father Frog, Randi Boyd as Mother Frog, and Caden Kearns as the Large and Terrible Frog. Mole 1 will be played by Quinton Chavers and Abigail Wimberly, and Mole 2 by Trevor Shelton and Sophie Basford. Quinton Chavers will serve as Understudy Male, and Maggie Attwood as Understudy Female.
