Indians Win Panhandle Conference Title; Women Await Their Fate

The Chipola Indians won a second straight Panhandle Conference Championship with a 70-54 win over Gulf Coast on Feb. 16. Nae'Qwan Tomlin had 22 points to lead all scorers. Faizon Fields had a double-double with 12 points and 20 rebounds. Deyton Albury had a career-high 16 points.

The Lady Indians finished the regular season 22-6 overall and 7-5 in conference.

Chipola's postseason hopes will be decided Saturday, Feb. 19, as Gulf Coast and Pensacola also have five conference losses.

On Saturday, Gulf Coast plays Tallahassee and Pensacola plays Northwest Florida. If two or more teams tie for second place, additional game(s) will be played to determine the second berth to the FCSAA State Tournament.
