Chipola TRiO Society invites all Chipola clubs, students, faculty, and staff to join us in honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let’s walk together in support of survivors, fighters, and families.

Did You Know?

  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, first established in 1985 to promote education and early detection.
  • Breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide among women, but early detection through screenings can save lives.
  • In the United States, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
  • Men can also be affected — about 1 in 833 men will develop breast cancer.
  • Wearing pink during October is a symbol of unity, awareness, and hope.
