PackEx USA Visits Chipola Advanced Manufacturing Program

Representatives from PackEx USA recently visited Chipola College to meet with students in the college’s Advanced Manufacturing program and provide insight into career opportunities in today’s manufacturing industry.

During the visit, PackEx USA representatives toured Chipola’s Advanced Manufacturing lab and got an up-close look at the equipment and hands-on training available to students. They also spoke with the class about operations within their facilities, the skills employers are seeking and career opportunities available in the manufacturing field.

The visit gave students an opportunity to connect their classroom and lab training with the demands of the modern workforce. Chipola’s Advanced Manufacturing program provides hands-on instruction designed to develop technical, problem-solving and workplace skills that prepare students for careers in manufacturing and related industries.

Industry partnerships and visits such as this also allow students to hear directly from employers and gain a better understanding of how the skills they are developing can translate into career opportunities.
