Registration Now Open For Chipola Term C Classes

Registration is now open for Spring Term ‘C’ classes at Chipola College. Students may register through March 4, with late registration continuing through March. 8. The term runs eight weeks, March 7 through May 3.

Currently enrolled students may add Term C classes to their schedule. New students are encouraged to make application to the college and register as soon as possible.

The schedule includes eight General Education courses, five upper level Education course, and two Business and Technology courses.

General Education classes include: Face-to-Face—(SPT 2521) Hispanic Cinema; Online—(AMH 2010) American History to 1865; (CGS 1060) Introduction to Microcomputer use; (MUL 2010) Music Appreciation; (PSY 2012) General Psychology; (SLS 1101) Orientation; (SPT 2521) Hispanic Cinema and (THE 1000) Theatre Appreciation.

Education courses include: Face-to-Face—(RED 3311) Teaching Reading Intermediate Grade; (RED 4519) Diagnostic and Instructional Interventions in Reading; Online—(RED 3311) Teaching Reading Intermediate Grade; (RED 3360) Teaching Reading Middle/Secondary Schools and (TSL 4081) TESOL Issues and Practices.

Business and Technology courses include: Online—(ACG 4930) Selected Topic in Accounting and (GEB 4940) Business Internship.

Other Term C courses include: Face-to-Face—(TPA 2000) Introduction to Theatrical Design and Online—(POS 2041) American Federal Government.

Students may register in person with a college adviser, or online if they meet certain requirements. There are several steps in the application process: (1) complete the college Application online at www.chipola.edu; (2) request a high school or college transcript be sent to Admission and Records; and (3) take the College Placement Test (non-exempt students); call 718-2284 for assistance. 

The Testing Center offers the PERT (Postsecondary Education Readiness Test) in-person or online. High school Dual Enrollment, should contact their high school guidance counselor to start the PERT process.
