Solar Eclipse Viewing

Published:

The Chipola College Student Scientists Association (science club) would like to invite everyone out to view the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8 outside the lobby of the science building. Although Marianna will not be in the eclipse path, we should be able to see a good partial solar eclipse. The Student Scientists Association will be handing out eclipse viewing glasses starting at 1 pm, and will be there until after the maximum occurs at around 2 pm. Reminder: you SHOULD NOT stare at the sun, even the eclipsed Sun without using the appropriate solar viewing glasses. In addition to eclipse viewing glasses, pin-hole camera viewers will also be available to look at the eclipse safely.
