SSS Orientation

Published:

Recently, Chipola Student Support Services (SSS) held a two-day orientation session in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE).

SSS students were encouraged to attend only ONE session to learn about SSS program and resources available. Student Support Services provides academic advising, campus tours/cultural activities, career counseling, financial aid and scholarship preparation. The Chipola ACE Lab, in collaboration with SSS, provides free tutoring sessions for all students, including test prep and remediation services.

Student Support Services (SSS) Director Kristie Mosley stated, “SSS prepares students to succeed academically, as well as increases retention, graduation and transfer rates of students in the program.” In addition to the orientation sessions, the upcoming fall campus tours/football games for the 2021-2022 year are Florida A & M University, (FAMU V Alabama State) on October 2nd and Florida State University (FSU v Univ. of Miami football game) on November 13th.  All services provided are free to students enrolled in the SS program.  To learn more about SSS, contact Sarieta Bryant-Benton at (850) 718-2431.
