Paramedic

The Paramedic program is a limited enrollment, competency based program. The goal of the EMS Department is "to prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession. 

The curriculum encompasses theoretical and simulated learning, clinical, and internship experiences following the National Education Standards and is inclusive of the Department of Education Curriculum Framework. EMS students will adhere to standards as listed in the program Emergency Medical Services Handbook that complies with the Department of Health-Bureau of EMS. This program is a 42-credit hour course that spans three semesters, approximately 12 months. Clinical and internship assignments are required in addition to regular class hours.

While Chipola accepts applications through the last day of registration as listed in the college calendar, applications that are submitted earlier improve registration opportunities in desired classes.
