Course Description:
This course is an introductory course on a history of the Middle East. It traces the historical and cultural influences that have contributed to the development of the unique region known as the Middle East. It examines the impact of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in this history, while placing the primary emphasis on understanding the cultural and historical background of the major problems facing the Middle East today. This course has been designated as an international, diversity course.
