Course Description:
This course focuses on the study of the anatomical and physiological functions of the human body. The scope of the course includes basic organization and structure with histology, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system.

Successful completion of one year of high school biology or a grade of “C” or higher in BSC 1005

Means of accomplishing learning outcomes:

Lecture is the primary method of instruction. Students are expected to be attentive and are encouraged to ask questions. Lectures will come primarily from the textbook in formats that may include power point presentations, white board illustrations, videos, and web-based technologies. Laboratory activities are designed to correlate with the lecture material to aid in student understanding. Homework assignments and quizzes, including the web-based Mastering Anatomy & Physiology, are required.
