Course Description:
This course introduces general drawing fundamentals, drawing construction, sketching, and drawing view placement, along with fabrication techniques, fabrication set-up, fixtures, jigs, and templates. Fabrication fundamentals, including tack and fit-up technique, using squares, plumb-bobs, levels, rulers, and machine elements, are also introduced.

Means of accomplishing learning outcomes:

This course is a cooperative, competency-based learning program with required classroom lecture classes, learning activity guides, videos, handouts, hands-on instruction, DVD, and computer-assisted instruction. Scheduled program workshops, seminars, special assigned projects, and style show attendance is required for credit.
