Chipola Brain Bowl Team Travels to Chicago to Defend National Title

The Chipola College Brain Bowl Team departed on February 25, 2026, for Chicago, Illinois, to compete in the National Academic Quiz Tournament scheduled for February 27–28, 2026.

The team enters the national competition as the defending national champion and will compete for its third consecutive national title. Representing Chipola College are Ian Hatcher, Devin Tharp, Jeremy Scurlock, and John Maupin. The team is led by Coach Stan Young.

Chipola’s Brain Bowl program has built a strong tradition of academic excellence, consistently competing at the highest level of national academic competition.

“We are extremely proud of these students and the dedication they have shown in preparing for national competition,” said Coach Stan Young.
