Chipola Brain Bowl Team Wins Korray-Shelton Tournament

The Chipola College Brain Bowl Team won first place at the Korray-Shelton Tournament held November 1 at the College of Central Florida in Ocala.

The tournament was part of the Florida Community College regular season and featured top academic quiz teams from across the state. Chipola finished with an 11–0 record.

Team members are (L to R) Devin Tharp, John Maupin, Ian Hatcher, and Jeremy Scurlock. Scurlock earned 1st place in individual scoring, and Tharp placed 3rd.

“This team showed great focus and teamwork throughout the tournament,” said Stan Young, Brain Bowl Coach.
