Chipola Child Psychology Students Showcase Work in Creative Keepsake Book
Students in Chipola College’s Child Psychology class, led by instructor Ms. Linda Morales, recently had the opportunity to showcase their academic creativity through a special class project that culminated in a published keepsake book.
Throughout the semester, each student developed an original story or game designed to explore and illustrate concepts related to childhood psychological disorders. The project aimed to deepen students’ understanding of developmental and psychological challenges faced by children, while encouraging thoughtful, research-based solutions and interventions.
The completed projects were compiled into a professionally bound keepsake book, highlighting the students’ research, insight, and imagination. To celebrate their hard work, Ms. Morales hosted a reception on May 29, where contributors presented their projects and discussed the inspiration behind their work with faculty, staff and peers.
“This project gave students the opportunity to creatively apply what they’ve learned in class,” said Ms. Morales. “It also helped them approach complex psychological topics with both empathy and academic rigor.”
