Chipola College faculty and staff met on Aug. 17 for the college’s annual back-to-school meeting and luncheon to kick off the 2026-27 academic year.

The annual event brought employees together for campus updates, training and preparations for the fall semester. This year’s gathering also highlighted Chipola’s new annual campaign, “Freedom to Become,” which celebrates the opportunities education provides students to choose their path, pursue their goals and prepare for the future.

The campaign takes on added significance during America’s 250th anniversary and will be featured throughout the year in campus activities, events and stories highlighting Chipola students, employees and alumni.

As part of the back-to-school activities, the Chipola chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges collected donations for the Chipola Campus All In Food Pantry and Chipola Clothes Closet, which provide food, hygiene items and professional clothing to students in need.

Faculty and staff are now preparing to welcome new and returning students to campus as fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 24.
