Chipola Men’s Basketball Wins FCSAA State Championship

The Chipola College men’s basketball team won the FCSAA State Tournament championship Sunday, March 15, 2026 with a 76–69 victory over Daytona State College in the title game.
JR Bartellus was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player for his performance during the event.
Head coach Donnie Tyndall was also recognized as FCSAA Coach of the Year during the championship weekend. Tyndall credited the team’s commitment and work ethic throughout the season.
“I’m incredibly proud of this group,” Tyndall said. “They’ve worked hard all year and represented Chipola the right way. Winning a state championship is a special achievement for our players and program.”
The title adds another state championship to the history of Chipola’s men’s basketball program in the Florida College System Activities Association.
