Chipola College Student Support Services (SSS) students recently visited Florida State University Panama City for “Discovery Day by the Bay,” gaining firsthand insight into the campus and exploring transfer opportunities as they plan the next step in their educational journey.

Held at the campus’s Holley Academic Center, the event welcomed prospective students and families to learn about FSU Panama City and experience its waterfront setting. For Chipola TRiO/SSS students, the visit provided an opportunity to explore a potential transfer destination and consider how a university education fits their academic and career goals.

Campus visits help students look beyond online information and picture themselves continuing their education at a four-year institution. Experiences like Discovery Day by the Bay encourage students to ask questions, explore their options and make informed decisions about their future.

Chipola’s TRIO Student Support Services program supports student success through academic advising, tutoring, mentoring and transfer planning. University visits are one way the program helps students prepare for graduation and continued education.
