Chipola College Hosts Career Connect Event

Chipola College hosted its first Career Connect event on April 14 in the Student Life Center. Representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation and Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. attended the event.

The event provided attendees with the opportunity to explore internships, career pathways, and high-demand job opportunities while building professional connections. Participating employers were actively seeking to hire Chipola students, offering valuable insight into workforce expectations and hiring needs.

“Career Connect is about giving our students direct access to employers and helping them see the real opportunities available to them,” said Meri Mock, Chipola College Public Information Officer.

Career Connect supports Chipola College’s mission to link education with career readiness by giving students practical networking experience in a supportive environment.
